So, I’m making new work, I guess? Y’all should be elated; it’s only taken me ten months to not be so cripplingly depressed that I even want to do this.
I gotta take hella self-portraits this week so I can make some screenprinted polymer skins. It’s gonna be an adventure, for sure.
Workin’ on a diptych to show in a crit on Tuesday; laid down the first two layers for the cmyk one on the right this evening, gonna go back and finish that shit tomorrow when I wake up.
I somehow managed to spill a bottle of olive oil on myself tonight- I’m still not sure how it happened, but it got in my eyes and my hair and all over my sweatshirt and I had to shower and now I’m just chillin’, trying to be tired enough to go to bed at a reasonable hour tonight.
When I am uncomfortable posing, I usually run my hands through my hair.
I really missed my cat.
I went to Cafe Habana with Chelsea today and finally sated my plantain cravings then we came back to Bed-Stuy and got stoned and hung with max for a while. Now I’m trying to pack, but I have no idea how I’m supposed to get everything back into my backpack. So instead, smoke breaks. I am so not ready to go back to real life.
I have a photo shoot planned with Lucia on Tuesday. I’m really excited to be a) taking photos outside of my house b) style her and c) be shooting someone who isn’t myself or related to me. I am running out of places to take pictures in my house without invading my roommates space. I have to think of creative things for the next few days. Things will get interesting when I head to New York on Wednesday night; I’ll be there for like a week. So if you want me to take pictures of you or hang out or whatever, get in touch. Also, if you have a tripod I could borrow. I don’t plan on checking baggage and while my backpack is epic, it can’t fit my tripod.
